If you're on the hunt for the perfect compact luxury crossover for your needs, you're probably contending with quite a field of options. However, few are as technologically-advanced or lavish as the relatively-new Lincoln MKC. If you're looking for a model that pulls out all the stops, checks all the boxes, and treats you to only the plushest and easy-to-use of features, this is the car for you.
But the MKC is far from alone in the premium compact CUV playing field, as we've already mentioned, and you've probably noticed that both the Audi Q5 and Acura RDX are both formidable models as well. To help you make an informed decision, we've included competitive comparisons below.

Lincoln MKC vs. Audi Q5
While the MKC we offer at our dealership is relatively new, the Audi Q5 has been getting a bit long in the tooth, putting the Lincoln CUV at an already solid advantage. But don't count the four rings out yet. Both models offer lineups of competent turbocharged engines with solid gas mileage, but when you get down to the details, the MKC pulls ahead.
- Better Driving Feel. Experience is very important for a Lincoln, so it comes as no surprise that the MKC offers surprisingly little to no turbo lag compared with Q5. If you prefer not to wait for the power to come on, this is a small but important benefit. The MKC also has more horsepower on its top shelf engine (if one discounts the SQ5).
- Lower Starting MSRP. While both MKC and Q5 offer numerous packages for tech, style, and weather preparedness, these add quite a few bucks to the price tag of Audi's option. For example, a base MKC with AWD starts at $40,510 MSRP, while a comparably equipped Q5 is over $9,000 more.
- Cut-Above Interior Finish. While most Audi interiors are minimalistic at best, Lincoln pushes for small touches that add up to a grand look and feel. In that, the MKC is no different, with user-friendly infotainment, active noise cancelling, and upper market materials.
Lincoln MKC vs. Acura RDX
For many, the Acura MDX is all the premium crossover they'll ever need-or so they think. While solid in the realms of reliability and comfort, its driving feel and overall packaging lacks the attention to detail and upscale touches that many have praised in the Lincoln MKC. And where the MKC offers two engine options, the RDX only comes with one.
- More Choice In Power. While we technically just mentioned it, it's a point that is worth driving home: The RDX only comes with one V6 engine choice. Pair that with the MKC's 2.3-liter turbocharged inline-four, and that makes the Lincoln considerably more powerful with 285 hp/305 lb-ft of torque to the RDX's 279 hp and 252 lb-ft of twist.
- Lower Starting MSRP. Both the Lincoln MKC and Acura RDX offer more and more features the higher in the trim grade you climb, but in most cases, the MKC comes in thousands of dollars less than its competitor. Where a low trim of the MKC starts at $40,510, the RDX goes for $42,845 MSRP.
- Devilish Details. More and more, Lincoln has been adding thoughtful technology to its new models, and the MKC is no different. Rear parking aids are standard, and there's a rear shade on the cargo area, both of which aren't offered on the Acura RDX. There's also continuously controlled damping suspension, which provides a superior ride to the Acura.
