What's new for 2023?
The Black Label and Reserve trims in the new Aviator can now be ordered with a new Jet appearance package that replaces much of the exterior chrome trim and swaps out the plastic cladding and wheel surrounds, replacing them with colors that match the body. There's a Grand Touring plug-in hybrid model that offers an optional Illumination package with adaptive pixel LED headlamps, LED fog lamps and special LED daytime running lights.
Trim levels
For 2023, the new Lincoln Aviator gives buyers in Philadelphia and Norristown, PA a total of five trims to choose from:
- Standard
- Reserve
- Grand Touring
- Black Label
- Black Label Grand Touring
The base-level Standard trim provides Lincoln luxury at a more affordable price. Take one step up to the Reserve model and you'll get a four-zone climate control system, a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof and a premium stereo system with 14 speakers. Rear-wheel drive comes standard and all-wheel drive is an available option.
Engines and performance
The twin-turbo V6 in the new Lincoln Aviator is one of the most powerful standard engines in the mid-size luxury SUV category and generates 400 horsepower. This refined 3.0-liter V6 connects to a smooth-shifting 10-speed automatic to provide stable cruising speed and assertive acceleration when you need it.
The Aviator also offers a plug-in hybrid known as the Aviator Grand Touring model.With the same V6 engine as the basic Aviator, the Grand Touring trim adds a 100-horsepower electric motor and a 13.6-kilowatt battery. Those two power sources provide a combined 494 horsepower and 630 pound-feet of torque. The all-wheel drive plug-in hybrid Aviator Black Label can travel from zero to 60 mph in a rapid 5.9 seconds.
Fuel economy
According to the EPA, the rear-wheel drive Lincoln Aviator can give you 18 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on highways around King of Prussia and Phoenixville PA. Go with all-wheel drive and you'll get 17 MPG in the city and 24 MPG on the highway. The plug-in hybrid all-wheel drive Grand Touring model can get as much as 25 MPG on the highway.
Interior comfort and cargo space
The new Lincoln Aviator is available with seating for six or seven people depending on which configuration you prefer. If you choose the second-row captain's chairs, you'll have a choice of two different consoles in the middle and one of them allows for an easier pass-through to the third row. The Lincoln Aviator gives you 18.3 cubic feet of space behind the third row, 41.8 cubic feet with the third row folded down and 77.7 cubic feet with both back rows folded.
Infotainment and safety technology
The 2023 Lincoln Aviator comes with a standard 10.1-inch touch screen and the ability to upgrade to a premium stereo system with as many as 28 speakers. You can also get an available rear-seat entertainment system the whole family will love. Standard safety features include a rearview camera, blind-spot monitoring and a rear cross-traffic alert system.
